I decided to stick with the idea of shells as currency. The progression goes from top to bottom. The original idea was to wrap the glass around the mandrel in a conical shape to imitate a conch. That idea progressed to moving the glass onto the end of the mandrel, creating pendants that mimic the same spiral shape. At the same time I had inadvertently created what I have been calling an appendage by slowly pulling very hot glass away from the center bead, much the same as you would do when making a stringer. The appendages got progressively more fluid and round in shape as I practiced the technique. The final photo is a combination of pendant and appendage.
