Picara 01.06.09 ~PART 4~
INSPIRATION
I am very interested in the 18th century French Rococo period in art history for it's very ornate, intensely detailed femininity. I looked at some examples of jewelry from this period, most of which is cast metal with precious stones or pearls. The embellished curves and swirls remind me of some of the designs found stitched in lace. Very free in spirit, yet precise and controlled. If my skill level will allow it, I would like to incorporate this aesthetic into my Glass Currency piece.

Nice Job- What a great place to start- I love the black ad white image. If you are patient when you make each bead you could definitely achieve a similar look. Why don't you blow up some of these images and bring them in to look at while you work on the torch.
