These are some of my sketches that were inspired by the blue tube coral and the blue and green coral with ridges that I posted earlier. I want to use transparent cobalt glass as the center of all my pendants, and the ivory opaque glass as the backing. The tube like objects on these pendants would be three dimensional and come out at the viewer, with actual holes in the center of the tubes. The cobalt center are sunk into the centers, and the green ridges would come out of the cobalt and curve over the higher surrounding rings. I am not entirely happy with the designs at this point, and I feel like I may go towards a more organic shape for the outer ring.

Are these beads or are they made off the mandrel? I think your inspiration has lots of possibilities. Maybe you should try to pull some patterned stringers, cut it into pieces and work with it multiples.
