The cultures that interest me are the Aztec, Chinese, Japanese, and Greek cultures. I am also intrigued by things in nature such as plants and animals. I have two ideas for my currency. One is a Koi fish which integrates the Japanese culture. My second idea is the tree of life. I am beginning to look at the similarities and connections between the environments of the Koi fish and the tree of life. Looking at the environments led me to consider the water lilly.

What have you found about about the currency of these places? Are they similar or very different? What can you pull from the koi or tree of life to create a hierarchy. Could you be more general and think about nature in japan or in your culture?
