Picara~Visual Language
My main inspiration for this project is French Rococo for it's indulgent and ornately feminine qualities. The beautiful curves and flourishes scream "royalty", and that is the quality I want currency to take on. Though coinage was being produced at this time, this set of currency would only be available to the elite and would be of immense value.
Formally, I know that there are certain limitations when working with glass, especially considering that I am new to this medium. I have been experimenting with stretching and have gotten results that lend themselves to the Rococo flourishes I have been researching. I am fairly confident in my ability to tie the formal aspects of my inspiration into my final piece.
As far as hierarchy is concerned, the beads would be graduated from small to large indicating value. All of them will be embellished with some decorative element, and will use the same color palette. I would like them to be carried on a piece of gold cord that could be tied on a belt or worn over the shoulder.

Good job nailing down a formal language and using it to inspire the work- I only question the method of transport- I think they would be so embellished that they could not be worn together- Maybe they are worn one to a gold cord and many can be layered?- just a suggestion to consider.
